PCL Setting

Specify the default values for PCL printing. This machine operates according to these settings unless the printer driver specifies the print settings.

Description

[Symbol Set]

Select the desired font symbol set (the default value varies depending on the area you are in).

[Font Settings]

Select the desired font (default: [Courier]).

  • [Select Typeface]: Select the desired font from the fonts built in this machine or the fonts downloaded to this machine.

[Font Size]

Specify the default font size value.

  • [Scalable Font]: Enter the font size (in points) for scalable fonts (with different widths for each character) (default: [12.00 Point]).

  • [Bitmap Font]: Enter the font width (in pitches) for bitmap fonts (with the same width for each character) (default: [10.00 Pitch]).

[Line/Page]

Enter the number of lines of text data to be printed on one page (the default value varies depending on the area you are in).

[CR/LF Mapping]

Select whether to replace the line feed codes when printing text data (default: [OFF]).

[Bar Code Font Settings]

Configure settings for the bar code font.

  • [Bar Code Line Width]: Specify the line width of the bar code font (default: [00%]).

  • [Bar Code Space Width]: Specify the space width of the bar code font (default: [00%]).

[Thin Line]

When drawing a thin line in reduced-size printing mode, set this option to ON (default: ON).

This is effective for thin lines such as table borders created in Excel, but not for thin lines used in illustrations.
