Configure a setting to connect this machine to a mobile terminal.

Description

[Simple Connection Setting]

Configure functions to associate with a mobile terminal.

  • [QR Code Display Setting]: When displaying wireless connection information of this machine using the QR code, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

  • [Enable NFC]: When using NFC, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

  • [Enable Bluetooth LE]: When using the Bluetooth LE, set this option to ON (default: OFF). To use Bluetooth LE, the installation of the required option and the setting by the service representative are required. For details on the required option, refer to Here.

[Wireless Connection Setting]

Specify information required to connect from a mobile terminal to this machine in wireless mode. This option is available when [QR Code Display Setting] or [Enable NFC] is used in [Simple Connection Setting].

  • [Wireless Connection Setting]: When connecting from a mobile terminal to this machine in wireless mode, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

  • [Wireless Connection Method]: Specify the method to establish a wireless connection between a mobile terminal and this machine (default: [Use MFP Wireless Setting]). If [Individual Settings] is selected, configure the following settings.
    [SSID]: Enter the SSID of the access point (using up to 32 characters).
    [Authentication/Encryption Algorithm]: Select the algorithm used for authentication or encryption (default: [No Authentication/Encryption]).
    Specify [Key Input Method] and [WEP Key] when [WEP] is selected in [Authentication/Encryption Algorithm].
    When an algorithm other than [WEP] or [No Authentication/Encryption] is selected in [Authentication/Encryption Algorithm], specify [Key Input Method] and [Passphrase].

When [Network I/F Configuration] is set to [Wireless Only], a pairing is established by applying the wireless settings of this machine; therefore, this setting is not displayed.
